In
1989, Earl Pryor founded Colony Construction bringing many years of
asphalt and general construction knowledge. During the 1990’s
Colony’s customer base was primarily residential driveways and state
maintenance contracts. In 2000 Colony began to focus more on
commercial and government contracts as growth continued to
accelerate. By 2005 Colony Construction was nearly 100% commercial
with dedicated on-site project managers as growth demanded the move
into larger work.
As Colony
continued to grow at a tremendous rate, management realized the
business would have to be expanded someday into the production of
asphalt. Near the end of 2006 the decision was made to purchase an
asphalt mixing facility. In September 2006, Colony Construction
Asphalt, LLC was born. Opened in March 2008, the asphalt mixing
facility allows better service to our customers and is a natural
extension to Colony Construction, Inc.
Colony
Construction, Inc. has grown in just a few short years to one of the
areas premier commercial paving contractors. |
