September 2019 Employee of the Month:

Bryce Basinger

Bryce is an Operator at Colony and has been with us for 6 years. Bryce says that he enjoys the morale at Colony. He likes being around and getting to work with good people and having a good work environment. On his days off Bryce enjoys visiting breweries and trying new beers. Bryce has been riding motorcycles for 3 years and he loves to ride his Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide.

Our Project Manager & Senior Estimator, Brian Miffleton had many great things to say about him. "Over the past month(s) Bryce has completed an array of tasks. We have utilized Bryce in the trucking department, where he has driven the low-boy on a consistent basis. On many occasions, Bryce has delivered the milling machine to a project, assisted the milling or paving crew by operating the machine and then hauling it back to the office. Bryce has also assisted the paving crews on many occasions by operating the MTV, and helping in Project Management, managing our sub-contracted milling crews…even training our subs on proper milling techniques, in order to get the job done correctly. No matter the task asked of Bryce, he has completed it to the best of his ability...and usually with a smile. Whether it be night or day...he has risen to the challenge. Bryce has proven to be valuable in many facets of the company. I appreciate his effort and willingness to help each department’s operations, as the needs arise."

Operations Foreman, Stephen Toney also complimented Bryce. "I have requested to have him work with us a few times and he has been a complete lifesaver on both the MTV and the milling machine and last week on Backhoe at West Point. Even on the jobs I hadn’t specifically asked for him to be with us where he was just hauling equipment to jobs, he seems to find the area that needs help and helps make the day smoother than what was expected. Very talented and leadership qualities and willingness to train. He has grown leaps and bounds over the past year."

Awesome job, Bryce! Thank you for your continued dedication to the Colony team!
