April 2020 Employee of the Month:

Pole Loving

​

Pole is one of our Mechanics and has been with Colony almost 4 years now. The nickname "Pole" was given to him by his Uncle when he was born. His Uncle referred to him as a beanpole, so "Pole" just stuck and he's gone by that ever since. 

​

At work and outside of work, Pole enjoys helping others and puts a lot of people first before himself. He shared, "I always try to give 100% every day. My Dad always told me to treat people the way you want to be treated in life." This is something Pole definitely lives by. 

 

Pole has always lived in Virginia. He was born in Richmond and married his wife Debbie in 1987, then moved to Chesterfield. They now live in Powhatan together. After his brother passed away in 1997, Pole and Debbie started putting money towards cancer. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is one that is dear to them.

Pole has two children, Josh and Maggie. Josh also works here with us at Colony. Maggie is expecting Pole's second granddaughter this month, so Congratulations to the entire family! When Pole's not at work he loves hunting and fishing. His favorite meal is fried chicken and his favorite place to vacation is Morehead City in Emerald Isle, NC. 

 

Many wonderful things were said about Pole, "He is always laughing and smiling. Pole is patient and kind. He is always willing to go the extra mile whether it is teaching someone how to do things or helping in any way he can!"

 

Well deserved, Pole! Thank you for all that you do! We are lucky to have you with us at Colony!
