March 2020 Employee of the Month:

Wayne Taliaferro

Wayne has worked at Colony just over 7 years now. He is an Asphalt Paver Operator on Terry's paving crew. Wayne was born and raised here in Virginia. He said the first thing he's going to do when life returns back to normal after COVID-19 is head straight to Miami!

 

Wayne said, "I'm a pretty quiet person until you get to know me better." When asked, what do you enjoy most about your job? Without hesitation, he said the people he works with. Outside of work he enjoys going to the gym and lifting weights.

 

General Superintendent, Mike Bell shared some compliments about Wayne. "We had a day without management. The following day when I came to site, 3 crew members and an inspector came to me to let me know that the crew came together with a great standout. I was told several times that Wayne stepped up in a big way impressing all around."

 

Awesome job, Wayne!! Thank you for stepping up and being a leader! We're glad you are a part of the Colony family!
