October 2024 Employee of the Month:

Colin Haislip

Colin has been with Colony since July. He is on Coop’s Operations Support Crew. Since he’s started, he’s been on the roller, running the side of the Milling Machine, and driving a water truck. Colin said his favorite so far has been running the side of the Mill.

 

Outside of work, Colin loves to fish, hang out with friends, and beat his brothers in a game of pool. He also plays the guitar, piano, and drums. His favorite season is Fall and he’s been loving this colder weather. Colin enjoyed Thanksgiving with family and his go to dish is stuffing. His number one sports teams are The Lakers, Redskins, OKC, & The Cavaliers.

 

Colin said, “I want to thank Coop and my brother Justin for teaching me all I know. I’m thankful for such a great crew to work with! Thank you!”

 

Operations Support Foreman, Coop Trent complimented Colin. “He is a very hard worker and he’s always on time. I put him on the roller and running the side of the mill. He drives the water truck too and he learns very fast.”

 

Paving Foreman, Derek Haislip had great things to say about Colin too. “We have been working with Coop’s crew on and off for the last month and a half. Colin has gone from no experience with paving and milling to running the side of the mill, driving the crash truck, and the water truck. He is always the first one to the paver to help us pave after their job is complete.”
