October 2025 Employee of the Month:

Damon Baus

Damon is in his 3rd year with us at Colony and is currently a Paver Operator on Carl’s Paving Crew. When asked what he enjoys most about working here, he shared that it’s the bond with his crew. Damon also talked about how it’s rewarding to see

from start to finish what the whole crew has accomplished.

Fall is one of Damon’s favorite seasons, and this past Thanksgiving he hosted his second Friendsgiving. His go-to dish for the holiday? A classic mac n’ cheese. Outside of work, Damon enjoys playing guitar and spending time on the softball field.

Vice President of Operations, Mike Bell complimented Damon. “Damon is one of the younger guys that has worked here for the past few years. Over the years he has picked up on a lot of the skills to be a good road builder. Each task we give him he seems to take seriously and take pride in doing well. He steps up to help the crew when Carl is on vacation and communicates well with the team all other times. He also seems to enjoy what he does as well as the crew members he works with.”

Thank you Damon for all of your hard work and dedication! We are glad you are a part of the Colony family!

CONGRATULATIONS DAMON!
