May 2023 Employee of the Month:

Isaiah Henderson

​

Isaiah has been with us at Colony since March 2022 in our Paving Division. He’s currently on Neil’s Paving Crew.

 

Isaiah first started out on the shovel, then moved to lute, and now he operates both rollers as well. He’s enjoyed growing and learning here.

 

Isaiah said that a favorite part of his job is working at different locations from week to week and being able to see different sceneries. Isaiah is originally from Cumberland but has called Powhatan home for the past 10 years.

 

When he’s not at work, he enjoys hanging out with his family. Isaiah is a football and basketball fan. He played basketball growing up and still loves playing from time to time. A couple of his favorite basketball teams are Miami Heat and LSU.

 

Isaiah is looking forward to his first cruise. He’ll be going to Jamaica next Spring and is very excited about that trip!

 

Our Paving Foreman, Neil Williams added, “Isaiah is the guy every Supervisor wants on his crew. He always has a smile on his face and a great attitude. He will do anything that is asked of him. He works hard every day and always gives 100%.”
