November 2022 Employee of the Month:

Jamar Booker
 

Jamar has been with Colony for 8 years now in our Paving Division. He first started out on the shovel, then over a year later he learned the roller. 

 

Jamar just became a father on December 5th to his beautiful baby boy Cairo! So, Congratulations all around! Jamar is excited to have his baby boy here this holiday season and to celebrate Christmas with his family in Amelia.

 

Jamar said he really loves working here at Colony and really enjoys the crew he works with. “They’re good people,” he said. When Jamar’s not at work, he loves to hunt, fish, play video games, and hang out with his friends. He said all of his friends have babies about 2 to 3 months apart, so he’s excited to add another baby to his friend group. 

 

Our Paving Foreman, Terry Booker had great things to say about Jamar. “Jamar has been outstanding along with juggling doctors appointments for their new addition to the family. At anytime he’s always doing something. You don’t have to tell him what to do, he’s on it. Other than being a roller guy, he will always get off the roller and help the groundsmen, then help with pulling the string line for laying out the roads before paving. If the rollers or the pull behind water tank needs to be worked on, he will try to do that unless it’s a major fix, then I will call for a mechanic. He’s just an all around hard worker for Colony.”
