March 2021 Employee of the Month:

Coop Trent

​

Coop is a truck driver at Colony and is currently driving a dump truck. But over the years he has also driven a tack truck and water truck. Coop has been in our trucking department for 8 years now. When he first started out at Colony he was working on Eddie's paving crew for about 2 and a half years. 

​

Anyone who meets Coop can definitely agree that he's an all around happy person and he likes to make people laugh. Coop was proud to say that he's a father to his 12 year old daughter Taniya. 

​

Warm weather is here but Coop said winter is his favorite season because of hunting season. 

​

Our Project Manager & Senior Estimator Brian Miffleton talked highly of Coop. "Coop is a vital team member of the Colony family assisting with the daily coordination and material management in the daily City of Richmond Paving Operations. Coop consistently exemplifies a positive attitude, initiative, and leadership skills. The City of Richmond Project team has been short staffed recently but the hard work and dedication by Coop has allowed for production, quality, and efficiency to continue. While serving this role Coop is simultaneously training Tiffany Tillman, another wonderful employee, on Operating the Tack Truck."
