July 2021 Employee of the Month:

Tiffany Chapman

Tiffany has been at Colony for 2 years now. She is a truck driver and primarily drives the Sweeper Truck but you'll also find her in the dump truck at times. Before working at Colony, she was a bus driver. Tiffany talked about working here at Colony and said, "I love my job, between the people and the job itself."

Tiffany has 4 boys, one of which is adopted and he is currently an electrical apprentice. She mentioned her middle son Seth said when he's finished with school, he wants to work at Colony with Mom. Tiffany is originally from Chester, VA and grew up there. When she was growing up she loved how rural Chester was. Of course it has really grown over the years. She moved to Powhatan about 10 years ago and hasn't looked back. She loved how Powhatan reminded her so much of home growing up in Chester.

Tiffany is very family oriented. "That's why I love Colony," Tiffany explained, because of the family oriented work environment. When she isn't at work she loves going places with her family. They love going to Lake Gaston on the weekends and when they have time off. Tiffany said they have a campground there with 2 lots side by side with 2 campers on them and they always love the time they get to spend there. Tiffany and her family also really enjoy going to the beach when they can. Their favorites are Carolina Beach and Oak Island. With fall coming up, Tiffany said they love spending time in the mountains during the fall and exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and visiting peach and apple orchards. They are also big on bonfires and love having a bonfire at least once a month.

Project Manager & Senior Estimator, Brian Miffleton had some really great things to say about Tiffany. "Tiffany is a great teammate who consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, strong initiative, anticipation, and great communication in supporting our crews operating the Sweeper Truck. Tiffany is a fantastic operator; her quality, passion and positive personality make her such a valuable part of our team and a pleasure to work with."
